Mark Thomson
Mark Thomson is Head of Learning and Development at CareTutor and delivers our virtual leadership programmes for adult social care. He specialises in practical, inspection ready training that strengthens culture, compliance and everyday practice in care services.
With nearly twenty years’ experience in learning, development and governance across health and social care, aviation and public services, Mark has led national training teams, launched and managed LMS platforms, and redesigned induction and manager development so it works in real, busy services. His sessions are plain English, honest and focused on giving managers tools they can use straight away in supervisions, team meetings and governance forums.
When you choose CareTutor leadership training, you and your managers are working directly with an experienced L&D lead who understands the realities of running 24/7 care services and what needs to be evidenced for CQC and other regulators.
Interests
Outside of work, Mark’s priorities are his wife and three children and creating memorable experiences together, whether that is days out, holidays or simple time at home. He is a keen football fan and enjoys using sport as a way to switch off, reset and bring fresh energy back into his work and training.
